Summary: He was interesting, it was probably the reason why you decided he'd be your kouhai.

0. The Fool

You were the new transfer student.

Luckily you transferred in Inaba just in the middle of vacation right before the new school year. You knew that they would wonder whether you were doing fine but you knew as long as you found something to be happy for it would at least make things easier for him . It was the least you could do for him.

You shielded your eyes from the summer heat and decided to continue unpacking your luggage in your rented house.

Six months into your stay in Inaba and you were living life peacefully, occasionally sending messages and letters with your former team mates back in Port Island, and spending time with the few friends you've established in your stay. It almost felt like as if you were just back in time, just when you were in your first year in Gekkoukan.

Almost.

"Hey, have you heard about the new first year transfer student?" Your friend Saki, asked you.

"Ah, no not yet." You answered her, prompting her to share her knowledge.

Without the Tartarus, things have gotten bit dull for you. You were hoping that maybe this transfer student from the city would at least be interesting enough for you.

After all he was working hard for everyone's sake.

1. The Magician

Hanamura Yosuke, you've decided was interesting. Well his reactions were, it was so easy to get him flustered considering the fact that both of you came from the city and he was just so eager to be around you that you're seriously considering taking him as your kouhai.

He was like an overly affectionate loyal dog.

You tell him that much.

"Eh? Sempai, I-if sempai likes dogs then I don't...mind it all." He murmured the last part to you and you chuckled.

"I don't like dogs in general...just a particular one." You told him and you chuckled once more at his puzzled face.

'I should probably send them some snacks especially Koromaru.' You thought and gestured for Yosuke to give his hand to you.

You were actually surprised he did it considering it was the way one would call their pet dog. You blinked at his earnest expression and laughed heartily.

"Jeez, do you like me that much?" You asked him all the while laughing at the absurdity of the situation.

He blushed and rubbed the back of his neck in embarrassment. Hanamura Yosuke was undoubtedly a lovable idiot.

"Yeah...!I mean yes, I like sempai that much." He answered honestly.

"Okay, Then Yosuke's my kouhai from this moment onwards even after you graduate." You intertwined his hands with yours and pulled him close to you.

"Let's hang out every other day, okay?" You told him and resumed chatting with him regarding various subjects. You wonder if he was watching over you along with the rest of the team.

'Maybe I'll write him a letter later at night.'

2. The Priestess

You figured since Yosuke's personality wasn't grating to your nerves he would have a lot of friends however seeing people hate him for being the son of Junes' manager seemed to surprised you. Hearing your precious kouhai being called annoying and the other mean things made your blood boil.

Yosuke, was just still growing and you remember to closely the feeling of vulnerability at that time.

'And yet...he smiles around me, Am I just that unreliable or...?' You wondered and decided to do something to help him. However you knew that with your power alone it would not be enough.

Maybe it's time to actually talk with them.

As you planned on how you were going to write your letter, you felt as if you were back on those happy days of your second year. The pain of remembering the feeling wasn't a painful throb like before. It was there, just more dulled and less of a pain and more like a scratch.

This was more likely the effect of Yosuke being more closely involved with your life. Not that you would tell him at this point, for now it was going to be a secret you'd keep until he truly needed to hear it from you.

"Oh, well...maybe I'll just execute a few of those 2nd years to make a point." You said more to yourself than anyone else around you.

3. The Empress

Mitsuru-sempai, despite her lack of plebeian common sense was still a role model for you. You had once aspired to be always be as composed and cool headed like her. It was of course only natural that you'd still come to her for help.

It was funny reading her suggestions to your problem. It was extreme and you wanted to call her to point out that you weren't that influential in your Inaba, at least nowhere near hers during your time in Gekkoukan.

But then again, nothing was the same as Gekkoukan and perhaps it was better that way.

"I'm having fun today as well. Is that helping you, Minato?" You asked him as you take a closer look at the picture you took with everyone that day.

You decided to reply back to everyone's letters. Asking how they were doing and assuring them that you were fine in Inaba, and of course mentioning the antics of your precious kouhai, Yosuke.

"Ah...maybe I should buy him peach flavored yogurt, What do you think Minato?"

4. The Emperor

You wondered if this was the same frustration Hidetoshi felt being powerless to fight the injustice that was presented in your eyes.

'Really, this is going way too far!' You thought angrily as you watched Yosuke's self-esteem crumble in front of your eyes. You angrily stomped over to him and immediately demand who did it.

"Se-sempai, you don't have to do that at all!" He told you frantically. It was the first time you were getting this worked up since Saori and then Minato.

"Of course, I do! You're my precious kouhai after all!" You told him angrily and then gently dabbed off his tears. This was the same way you felt when people were being mean towards Saori.

"Sempai?"

"Shhh...tell me who they are and I'll take care of them personally." You told him and moved on to check whether he had any physical injuries that he was hiding from you.

"Tch...If my status isn't enough to protect you...then maybe I really should run for the Student Council." You mumbled though apparently Yosuke still heard it.

"A-are you running for Presidency, Sempai?!"

"Hmmm..." You paused in your impromptu medical check-up and considered what he had said, you were just planning for the Secretarial position however...

"Maybe, I will." You told him before resuming the medical check-up on the school roof top.

5. The Hierophant

You ran for presidency and won.

You were glad for Misturu-sempai's advice and delivered an impressive speech on the new school term. Yosuke felt proud that you were his sempai and he was a frequent visitor of the Student Council room that you were already debating on offering him to be a volunteer for the Student Council.

"Oh, Yosuke-kun are you looking for the President?"

"Ah, yes...if she isn't too busy that is." You heard Yosuke's voice and wondered what could he possibly need. You decided to stand up and walk over to the door and announce your presence to him.

"Yosuke, Do you need anything?"
"A-ah! Sempai...I was just wondering if I could have lunch with you today..." He asked you and you felt bad that the student council was flowing with paper works that was needed to be dealt with to clear up your schedule for the next few months.

"Sorry, Yosuke but I'm flowing with paper works so you'll have to find someone else to have lunch with." You told him and decided to reach out and pat his head to at least alleviate your sadness.

"I'll try to finish this today then maybe we could have lunch together tomorrow." You added and played with his hair furthermore before deciding to let him go and return to your paper works.

"Hehe...I understand, Sempai. Let's eat together tomorrow then." He walked away and you sighed after him.

"Hachiko." Your secretary commented.

"Hmmm...ah...does that mean I'll eventually be out of his life?" You asked aloud innocently.

6. The Lovers

You were doing a general cleaning since your Home was far from the bare place that it used to be since Yosuke came into your life. And so it is here that you stumble upon your old Gekkoukan uniform, it was still pristine as the day that you last wore it.

"Ah...So this was in here..." You say to yourself as you noticed the familiar mp3 player and blue head phones.

You looked at it for a few more minutes before deciding to see if it could still fit you.

'This would be a good thing to put in the letter.' You thought as you exchanged your weekend clothes to the familiar and nostalgic weight of Gekkoukan's.

"Oh, It still fits perfectly." You mused and twirled around in front of your mirror.

"Ah, I'll take a picture and send this to Yosuke!"

You searched for your phone and took a picture of yourself and sent it to him without any message.

'And maybe...it wouldn't hurt to tell him about them.'

You spent the rest of the day smiling as you recounted stories of your team's journey and to Yosuke's reactions.

7. The Chariot

Somehow hearing from Yosuke how confident you were stunned you. You had never felt confident most of the time it was just bravado. But hearing the praise coming from his was more than enough to lift your spirits up.

"Really, Yosuke is too kind for his own good!" You told him and proceeded to shower him with affection.

Seeing his bright smile and joyous laughter felt like an honest proof that you were able to help him.

'This,' You thought as you fondly look at his face, 'is what your sacrificed allowed me to see.'

One day you'll tell him about Minato and maybe you'll also tell him about how you're helping in saving the world.

For now you stood straight and tall, looking into the future as bravely as you could, helping him ease the burden he carries by ensuring the happiness and contentment of Yasogami's students in the ways you could.

"Okay! It's time for an All-Out Attack!" You announced with renewed vigor.

Yosuke looked puzzled but cheered you on.

8. The Strength

He was mesmerized as he looked at you from a far, seeing you surrounded by people who smiled beside you as you helped in the main preparations for cultural festival. Hanamura Yosuke had never thought he'd meet a person like you who shined so brightly, a natural leader that everyone followed subconsciously.

You were who he aspired to be, he wanted to be as calm as you were in the face of troubles, to be able to remain unmovable in what they believed was right until proven wrong. He wanted to be as gentle as you were when you reprimanded trouble makers. Everything about you mesmerizes him and he wished from the bottom of his heart that he could be as good as you.

"Hanamura-kun you're lucky aren't you?" Satonaka asked him, snapping him out from his daze.

"Huh? Oh yeah...I really am!" He answered cheerily looking back at his dazzling sempai.

"Mmm...You know, You ain't bad at all, Yosuke!"

Yosuke blinked at the sudden familiarity.

"You can call me Chie from now on!"

You glanced at the corridor ahead of you and from the distance you could make out Yosuke's figure, animatedly talking with one of his classmates. You smiled at this and returned your attention to the organizing committee. You were glad to see that he was finally making friends at his class.

9.  The Hermit

Rainy days had always made you more susceptible to lethargy.

Currently you were cooped up all alone in the student council room, blue head phones in your ears as you listened to the music and gazed into the gray scenery outside the window you were perched at.

You heard the door slide open but you didn't bother looking at who it was that entered the room, you were still lost to your thoughts of the past and Minato's choice.

The path he had chosen and the path the rest of S.E.E.S had chosen.

Sometimes you wondered if what you were doing constituted as living life to the fullest, whether doing something small was enough to ease the burden he carried as a barrier. Apart of you were still hoping that one day Elizabeth would be able to find the answer she was looking for.

Someday you believed, in a far off future, you'd be able to see your dear friend again.

"Sempai, I brought you your favorite drink."

You hummed and turned to Yosuke, smiling at him gently as you thanked him and got your drink.

'Someday...I'll introduce him to you,Minato.'

For now you'll spend your rainy days with your perceptive kouhai.

10. The Fortune

Summer had arrived and both of you decided to take a walk around town ending up near a gas station where both of you decided to take a much needed break from the heat.

It was here that you met her and you knew who she was immediately.

You couldn't get Yosuke out of there fast enough, you knew that she knew and the alarm bells your personas' were shouting was enough to make you lose your composure, enough that even Yosuke noticed it.

"I-I'm fine Yosuke, really." You assured him, "The heat's just getting into me."

It was a feeble lie but it was the best you could do. It would be best if Yosuke didn't get involved with her. Because you knew enough to know that Gods have never understood humanity.

You didn't know that six months later, this would end up moot. Not when he had arrived.

11. The Justice

You felt it.

A feeling similar to the dark hour but altogether different. You glanced at your clock and saw that it was stuck in 12. You swallowed your saliva and looked at the TV. The voices of your persona were silent as if they were all waiting for something and you waited with them.

This was the beginning of something and you prayed that nothing as bad as Port Island would happen.

Your TV opened and you saw a world similar to the Tartarus but still different.

You knew that this would be a source of trouble and you were going to stop it, because Minato had worked hard to protect humanity's future. You won't allow anyone to put his sacrifice in vain.

With a new found resolve, you ventured into this new 'Tartarus'.

12. The Hanged Man

It was a shocked to see Yosuke involved inside the twisted world. All the more when you heard Shadow Yosuke's cries. You felt your heart break at the realization that you weren't able to fully help him.

That the new transfer student was the one who was able to help him hurt you even more.

You were his sempai, you were supposed to know about this kind of things. You felt that this came close to what you felt on Graduation Day. You walked away from them and decided to head out of the TV World.

You silently vowed to spend more time with Yosuke and to watch him even more closely both here and outside the TV World.

13. The Death

The first time Yosuke had introduced his new friend Narukami Yu to you, you were surprised at how his presence reminded you of Minato. You kept on staring at him and you saw that he was feeling uneasy. You inwardly smiled at this, glad to not have lost your touch in making people uneasy.

Yosuke kept on talking and you decided it was high time to end his nervous rambling. He must have really like his new friend to have introduced him personally to you and you were going to listen to your personas voices.

"You remind me of a dear friend, That's why...Look out for my Yosuke when I'm not around okay?" You told him.

"Thank you." He answered politely and you smiled at him to ease him a bit.

"You're a trustworthy person so I know you'll be able to protect this lovable idiot of ours." You told him as you pulled Yosuke towards you and fondly messed up his hair. You knew that he would be able to protect Yosuke when the time comes after all Yosuke would never like anyone so much as he did towards Narukami to have found the need to introduce him to you.

"Our Yosuke is the only one in the world so we should take care of him properly, Narukami-san."

He nodded and you knew that he understood.

14. The Temperance

It was getting harder to remain incognito in the TV World now that they had more members, even Theo was wondering why you wouldn't just reveal yourself as a persona user. You think it has to do with the fact that you'll be force to look out for their whole team once you revealed it to them instead of only looking out for Yosuke alone.

You don't think you have that capacity any more, not when your former team mates were drifting apart. You knew it was happening, slowly but surely. You think you won't be able to handle another loss like his still when you see how they fight your mind can't stop seeing their holes and their blind spots, you can't stop seeing the ways to fix those.

'Maybe one day.' You thought.

You try not to think about how that one day might be too late to help them defeat the true enemy.

15. The Devil

Sometimes a part of you wondered why you ended up friends with Saki, especially when she's just stringing Yosuke along. You hate it, those fake smiles she sends to your too innocent for his own good kouhai. It makes you want to pull him closer to you each time Saki decides to hang around the roof top, wants you to growl at her and mark him as yours, to show him that you're better at taking care of him than her.

Sometimes too, you want him to just remain by your side, following you around and constantly asking you questions. You don't find him annoying especially not when he's the closest to exciting you'll ever get now a days. Still you don't like how his eyes seem to find Saki every where, how she seems to just pop out of no where, you want him to look at you alone because you're the only one that genuinely likes him, that treats him better than anyone else.

Now though there are still times when you wonder, whether he's still looking for the familiar color of Saki's hair even though months had passed, when he'd suddenly lose his train of thought. You can't help but wonder if there are still things only he could say to his friend, you try not to think that maybe at the bottom of his heart he loved her.

Later that night as you fused Beelzebub you can't help but wonder just how far would you go when it comes to Yosuke, you don't remember feeling this way towards Ken nor to anyone or to you team as a whole before. Neither Igor or Theo points out that you've changed the most out of the S.E.E.S members.

16. The Tower

At that time you didn't know that you were closer to the person who would give Yosuke so much pain, that Izanami's pawn was closer to you than you liked.

You ended up dismissing him as an annoying person that you'd love to punch in the face if he wasn't a police officer. You merely give him a fake smile and a well hidden threat before directing him to aisle where those annoying cabbages were. Tohru Adachi was the type of man that falls easily to temptations of greatness, You try not to think about Ikutsuki.

You speed walk away from the creepy police officer and painful memories of betrayal.

Later on in your journey as you are filled with overwhelming rage, You wonder why that didn't alert you already as you look at his bloodied body and the despair Narukami had in his eyes. You try not to flash back to that time, of kids forced to carry the burden of the world, you try not to think about how Ken should be smiling freely and being a brash impolite kid and not one that acted like an adult, of how Yukari and Junpei shouldn't have to be so careful now a days. You try not to think of the other future where personas didn't exist and Minato was still here instead of acting as a seal.

You closed your eyes and made your decision.

17.  The Star

It happens this way;

You were just finished fusing your new personas after training inside the Monad tired and trusting of Theo's carefulness you didn't bother to think why the door to Velvet Room which usually lead to the outside of the Okina City mall felt different. Hearing the familiar cry of Yosuke immediately snapped you out of your tired thoughts and led you face to face with the shocked face of your kouhai and his friends.

"Sempai?!" Yosuke cried out and he scrambled to get to you still looking quite lost on how you got here.

"What's (Name)-sempai doing here?"

You heard one of them whisper and you immediately zeroed in on the one that spoke, it was a first year. You quickly try to place his face and smirked once you did. You got Yosuke out the way and called Tatsumi Kanji's attention.

"First Year Student, Tatsumi Kanji-kun!" You boomed putting on the aura you usually had during the monthly school announcements.

"Ye-yes! Sempai!"

"Who gave you permission to call me,Sempai?" You made sure to show your annoyance," I don't recall taking you under my wing at all. The only way you are to addressed me is Kaichou, unless I tell you otherwise."

"Sempai, isn't that a bit..."Yosuke trailed off uneasily glancing between you and his team.

You raised a brow at him.

Kanji replied a loud affirmative and you decided that it was best that no one got the wrong impression, "The same goes for the rest of you."

Somehow that was the start of how you slowly integrated yourself to their group, acting as their adviser and training specialist. Along the way you're not quite sure when you allowed them to call you sempai but you didn't mind having to care for six more people not when it gave you reason to let Yosuke call you by your name alone other than for your selfish reasons.

You wondered if this was what Shinji-sempai felt like in the short amount of time he spent with you and S.E.E.S, you decided to make time to visit his grave. You like to think that he'd enjoy hearing about the energetic kouhais you've gotten especially when you were more often than not lazier than Minato.

19. The Moon

You didn't like where this was going, everyone was too high strung to make a decision and you knew that despite wanting the murderer gone, killing him would not absolve the grief in any ones heart and you didn't want them to stain their hands. They were still children, teenagers that were trying to make sense of the situation, trying to do the right thing and you decided that it was time to do your part for this bunch of kids that carried the same burden you had once upon a time.

You won't allow them to go down the wrong path.

"What if there's another killer?"

Your voice broke through their shouts and everyone became silent and looked at you.

20. The Sun

The fog cleared at Inaba and you were spending the last days of your presidency hiding out in the roof top. you weren't quite sure what you were going to do now that you're about to graduate and you didn't have the energy to partake with your energetic kouhais especially when they were all clamoring to spend time with Narukami.

You'd rather not have them try to include you in whatever bothersome activity Rise had cooked up.

Besides it was rare for you to be this free since you were just alone and besides it wasn't like the Student Council wouldn't be able to handle themselves if you were gone. You were smiling as you gazed upon the blue skies of Inaba and even you couldn't deny that things seems brighter here and a part of you was loathe to admit that maybe you'd miss this place a bit.

The door to roof top opens and immediately Yosuke's voice is heard followed by the rest of your kouhais and you sigh.

'So much for peace.'You thought and sat up straight from your lying position.

"Sempai! Is it true you're going to Tokyo?!" Rise immediately shouted at you as she clamored to your side. Yosuke planting himself on your other side and pushing her away from you.

"Hn." was your non-answer.

"Sempai, I've heard rumours you were planning to take criminology." It was from Naoto who still had the habit of covering her face with her hat when she's embarrassed.

"Hn."

"I...um..Sempai! I made you a doll so you won't feel lonely once you leave Inaba!" Kanji held out a large panda stuff toy and you took it from him. Placing it between your arms and squeezing it tight as you rested your chin on top of it.

"Hn." You resolved to name the panda 'Yosuke'.

"Sempai~! I came here to give you this bear-y cute glasses!" Teddie said out of nowhere which surprised everyone except you.

You took it from his hands and immediately began wearing your new purple and black eye glasses that had silver skulls on the sides.

"Hn."

"Sempai, drop by the inn once you're free from college okay?" Yukiko said and Chie added, "Please don't forget to bring meat too when you visit!"

You smiled and,"Hn."

"Sempai, Thank you." Narukami thanked you and you smiled.

"Hn."

You were really feeling sleepy though, but you still haven't heard Yosuke speak even though he was usually always speaking his mind whenever you were around. You really wanted to hear his voice.

"Sempai, The cherry blossoms are already blooming."

20. The Judgement

It was Minato.

"Yo!" You greeted him and you're blinking rapidly. He's still wearing his Gekkoukan uniform and you're in yours. He smiles at you and gestures you to sit by his side.

It has been a long time since you last saw your leader.

You don't know what to say.

"How's everyone doing?" He asks you and you look at him, taking in his features and you realize his happier much happier than you've seen him last. You are struck by this and you realized his waiting for you to speak up and you muster the strength to not let your voice crack. He's your leader and you don't want to make him wait but most importantly he is your friend and you care more about your friends than you'd like to admit.

You began with your kouhai," Ken-kun is now taking care of Koromaru, He's doing well in his studies and I've been sending him gifts every now and then, visiting him when I'm free too! Junpei and Yukari is studying well for their careers, Mitsuru-sempai's creating the foundations of Shadow operatives, Akihiko-sempai's traveling around the world training and Shinjiro-sempai's well taken care of. I visit him from time to time. We're all doing our best to-" your voice cracks and Minato smiles at you kindly and pats your back.

"-live our lives to the fullest!" You say to your former leader and he smiles at you. It gets easier at that point to let the story out, of the persona users you've met in Inaba, Izanami and her wish to fulfill humanity's happiness, Narukami that reminded you of him and your favorite kouhai, Yosuke.

You're crying but you can't stop not when it feels good to let out the sadness that never quite found it's way out of your heart since you found your Answer along with S.E.E.S that day.

"I'm glad." Minato tells you and he's smiling and you try to burn that image into your eyes.

"I was lonely before, not now though...so I'm glad that you're no longer feeling the same." He tells you and you grab his offered hand.

"Yeah, Thanks for the Journey...Minato." You wiped your tears away and offer him the brightest smile you could muster.

"Thank you too..." He says and you closed your eyes and smile at his retreating back.

You don't have any regrets and you've met him for what you think is the last time. He was happy with the time he spent with you  and so were you then and now.

The next time you opened your eyes, cherry blossoms were coming in through the window of your darkened room and Yosuke is beside you. You smiled and went back to sleep, hand intertwined with his.

21. The World

"Oi, Hurry up and let Narukami go!"

"Kaichou! It's not fair only you got a second button!"

"Yeah! That's right sempai, getting a second button from Yosuke and turning down others that's not fair!"

You sighed at Rise's argument and the group of girls who nodded their agreement. You decided that it was too bother some to stop them from getting Narukami arrested from public indecency once all of his uniform's buttons were gone.

"Sempai!" Narukami called out to you, eyes alarmed now that it seemed like his only likely saviour was about to abandon him to the wolves. You sighed and turned to Rise and called out,

"Rise, If you don't let Narukami go I won't be able to give my present to the Investigation Team."

You gave them your phone number which immediately directed to your Shadow Operatives mobile phone number. Naoto was quick to point out that it was linked to the Kirijo Group and you praised her attentiveness. She blushed and bashfully smiled at you, you are quick to inform them to use it wisely since this was something only a few people were supposed to know, not that they knew the reason why.

Behind their backs you give the spare key to your new residence to Yosuke not that he knew what it was for until you texted him your addressed at Tatsumi Port Island the next day after your departure.

You were happy and no longer feeling lonely.
